ACCORDING TO OFFICIALS, RESEARCH SHOWS THAT GOING FROM ONE END OF STATE STREET TO THE OTHER WILL ACTUALLY BE QUICKER WITH ONE LANE AND A TURN LANE, PRIMARILY DUE TO THE TIMING OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS. CONSTRUCTION IS NOT EXPECTED TO BEGIN UNTIL SUMMER OF 2015.
