SEVEN ARRESTED AT ROBINSON RANCHERIA DURING EVICTION

SEVEN PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED AT ROBINSON RANCHERIA DURING AN EVICTION THIS WEEK.

FIFTEEN TO TWENTY PEOPLE WERE IN THE APARTMENT PERFORMING A RITUAL, WHEN TRIBAL POLICE ARRIVED TO EVICT DWAYNE DUNCAN ON WEDNESDAY. LAKE COUNTY AUTHORITIES WERE ASKED BY ROBINSON RANCHERIA POLICE TO BE ON STANDBY TO ENSURE THE EVICTION WOULD GO SMOOTHLY, HOWEVER, IT TURNED INTO A CONFRONTATION WITH PUSHING AND SHOVING. ONE WOMAN ALSO GRABBED AND ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE A SHERIFFS DEPUTIES HOLSTERED FIREARM DURING THE CONFRONTATION. IN THE END, DUNCAN AND SIX OTHER WERE ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES.

AUTHORITIES SEEK DRIVER OF PICKUP AS POSSIBLE WITNESS TO SEAGRAVE MURDER JH 01/25/13

AUTHORITIES SEEK THE DRIVER OF A PICK-UP AS A POSSIBLE WITNESS IN THE KELSEYVILLE GAS STATION ROBBERY AND MURDER LAST WEEK.

ACCORDING TO AUTHORITIES, THE INVESTIGATION HAS IDENTIFIED A DARK COLORED LATE MODEL DODGE DAKOTA TWO DOOR EXTENDED CAB PICK-UP TRUCK IN THE AREA OF THE KONOCTI GAS AND MART AROUND THE TIME OF THE ROBBERY AND MURDER. DETECTIVES ARE SEEKING ASSISTANCE WITH IDENTIFYING AND LOCATING THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE AS A POSSIBLE WITNESS TO THE CRIME. A PHOTOGRAPH OF A SIMILAR VEHICLE IS POSTED ON THE K-WINE NEWS FACEBOOK PAGE FOR REFERENCE. THERE IS CURRENTLY A $10,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE MURDER SUSPECT IN THIS CASE. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS URGED TO CONTACT THE LAKE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE AT 263-2690.

COURT HEARING ON 9.31 FEDERAL SUBPOENAS DELAYED JH 01/25/13

A FEDERAL JUDGE HAS RESCHEDULED MENDOCINO COUNTYS HEARING IN FEDERAL COURT FOR ITS MOTION TO QUASH FEDERAL SUBPOENAS FOR THE COUNTYS MEDICAL MARIJUANA RECORDS KEPT UNDER CHAPTER 9.31 OF COUNTY CODE.

THE COUNTY WAS DUE IN COURT NEXT TUESDAY TO ADDRESS THE MOTION, HOWEVER LAWYERS REPRESENTING BOTH SIDES OF THE CASE SIGNED A STIPULATION ON WEDNESDAY, REQUESTING A FEBRUARY 19 COURT DATE, WHICH WAS GRANTED BY THE FEDERAL JUDGE.

ASSAULT WITH A VEHICLE JH 01/25/13

A UKIAH MAN WAS ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT WITH A VEHICLE AFTER TRYING TO RUN DOWN ANOTHER PERSON.

ACCORDING TO UKIAH POLICE, 54-YEAR-OLD KEVIN EUGENE BODJACK WAS CONTACTED BY THE VICTIM AND A WITNESS, BOTH WERE PEOPLE HE KNEW. AT SOME POINT IN THEIR CONVERSATION, BODJACK, WHO WAS SITTING IN HIS CAR, PULLED THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM THE CURB, TURNED IT AROUND AND THEN DROVE IT AT THE VICTIM. THE VICTIM ATTEMPTED TO JUMP OUT OF THE WAY, BUT LANDED ON THE ROOF AND WINDSHIELD OF THE VEHICLE BREAKING THE GLASS. BODJACK FLED, BUT WAS LOCATED LATER BY POLICE AND BOOKED INTO MENDOCINO COUNTY JAIL.

ROAD WORK TODAY JH 01/25/13

ROAD WORK AND UTILITY MAINTENANCE WILL CAUSE DELAYS IN A COUPLE LOCATIONS TODAY.

CAL TRANS WILL PERFORM ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON HIGHWAY 253 FROM SLIDE CREEK TO JUST WEST OF STIPP LANE TODAY. WORK HOURS ARE FROM 8 AM TO 4 PM WITH ONE-WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL IN EFFECT AND 5-MINUTE DELAYS ANTICIPATED.

CAL TRANS HAS AUTHORIZED UTILITY INSTALLATION ON HIGHWAY 1 NEAR PACIFIC AVENUE NORTH BEGINNING MONDAY, JANUARY 28TH. WORK HOURS ARE 7 AM TO 5 PM WEEKDAYS WITH ONE WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL IN EFFECT AND 10 MINUTE DELAYS ANTICIPATED.

KELSEYVILLE TOWN HALL MEETING SCHEDULED IN REACTION TO FATAL SHOOTING JH 01/25/13

A LAKE COUNTY SUPERVISOR IS ORGANIZING A COMMUNITY TOWN HALL FOR EARLY NEXT MONTH TO ADDRESS PUBLIC SAFETY IN KELSEYVILLE, WHERE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SHAKEN DUE TO A ROBBERY AND FATAL SHOOTING LAST WEEK.

WHILE THE TOWN HALL IS MEANT TO DISCUSS RECENT EVENTS, LIKE THE FATAL SHOOTING OF FORREST SEAGRAVE, OFFICIALS ALSO MEAN TO DISCUSS OTHER PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUES, AS THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER SHOOTINGS AND VIOLENT CRIME IN THE AREA IN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. REPRESENTATIVES OF VARIOUS LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HAVE ALSO BEEN INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MEETING THAT IS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 7TH AT THE KELSEYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL.

BOTTLE ROCK POWER LLC WILL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER MONTH TO FIND OUT IF IT CAN CONTINUE GEOTHERMAL ENERGY ACTIVITIES FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS.

THE LAKE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION DELAYED DECIDING ON THE PROPOSED USE PERMIT TIME EXTENSION AFTER DETERMINING THAT NOT ENOUGH OF THE COBB COMPANIES NEIGHBORS HAD BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THURSDAYS HEARING. THE HEARING IS SCHEDULED TO CONTINUE ON FEBRUARY 28TH.

SEAGRAVE MEMORIAL PLANNED FOR THIS WEEKEND JH 01/25/13

THE KELSEYVILLE MAN WHO DIED AFTER BEING SHOT DURING A LATE NIGHT ROBBERY LAST WEEK WILL BE HONORED AT A MEMORIAL SERVICE THIS WEEKEND.

33 YEAR OLD FOREST SEAGRAVE DIED LAST FRIDAY, AFTER BEING SHOT DURING A ROBBERY AT THE MOUNT KONOCTI GAS AND MART WHERE HE HAD WORKED SINCE 2006. THE SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE AT 2 PM SUNDAY, JANUARY 27 AT KELSEYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. DETECTIVES CONTINUE TO FOLLOW EVERY LEAD IN AN ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY AND LOCATE THE SUSPECT IN THE MURDER. A $10,000 REWARD IS CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE KILLER.
