BAN ON E-CIGS ANNOUNCED BY MCHC (EVR) JB 11/18/14

THE HEALTH IMPACTS OF E-CIGS AND VAPING ARE STILL A HOT TOPIC OF CONVERSATION FOR PROPONENTS AND DEBATERS OF THE PRODUCTS.

PROPONENTS OF THE ELECTRONIC ALTERNATIVES STATE THAT THEY CAN BE USED TO HELP CIGARETTE SMOKERS REDUCE THEIR RISK OF TOBACCO-RELATED ILLNESSES, SUCH AS CANCER. THE POSITION OF THE MCHC IS THAT RECENT MEDICAL STUDIES LACK THE EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT E-CIGS AND VAPING IS SAFE, OR THAT THEY ARE, IN FACT, AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF SMOKING CESSATION.
