Police searching for an inmate they say ran from the courthouse in Mendocino County. The Sheriff’s office searching the west side of Ukiah last night looking for Thessalonan Catrell Love of San Bernardino County. They say he ran when his trial adjourned for the day yesterday around 4:30 p.m. He’s accused of sexual activity with an underage girl from Point Arena back in October 2015. The Sheriff’s Office working with Ukiah Police to locate the man. They were using a police dog last night to track Love’s scent. The Mendocino County District Attorney’s office says Love was on trial testifying on his own behalf then when court ended for the day, a deputy took Love downstairs and outside the courthouse to put him in a van but the man took off.

A man in downtown Ukiah being searched for after police say he exposed himself at an arcade where a group of teenage girls were hanging out. Ukiah Police say a woman in the business reported the guy exposing his genitals. She says she saw the man sit at a machine that was out of order and she approached him and saw his pants were open and his privates exposed. So she yelled at the man and he left. The teenage girls didn’t know what the man was doing. He’s described as a white man in his 40s, about six feet tall, 160 pounds, with short dark hair, no facial hair with “severe lines and pox” scars on his cheeks and jaw.

Two people are recovering after a man in a silver coupe hit three other cars on North Bush Street. Ukiah Valley Fire Authority reports two women had to go to the hospital, one removed from her car and the other had jumped from hers. A woman who saw the accident says a man in a Mitsubishi hit a parked silver car, then hit a black Jeep SUV. The driver of the SUV had to be cut from her vehicle. The witness says the Mitsubishi then swerved in front of Mountain Valley Printing and barely missed a telephone pole then crashed into a fence at Bob’s Automotive. The car was totaled. Apparently several people chased the Mitsubishi yelling for the driver to stop. He was grabbed from his car and held for police.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers working with Cal Fire is conducting a controlled burn at the Coyote Valley Dam. The control burn next Monday around 5:00 P.M. thru 9:00 P.M. They warn there will be smoke visible through Ukiah and Redwood Valley. The burn to remove vegetation from the face of the Coyote Valley Dam to allow access and visibility for a required inspection. That means Coyote Dam and the Fish Hatchery area at the base of the dam are closed to the public.

The Mendocino County Museum in Willits is closing while an investigation into mold takes place. The Museum Director asking for the investigation so the Mendocino County Executive Office, Risk Management division has hired an industrial hygienist to check for mold yesterday. They found there was some sporadic mold intrusion in some parts of the Museum but was mostly in the duct system and not in the air. The County requested though that the entire Museum be closed to the public as a precaution. It’s a temporary closure, so all scheduled on-site Museum activities are being postponed until a reopen date has been established. Any activities off Museum property will go on as planned.

A fire reported at the Upper Lake office of the Habematolel Pomo Tribe. The fire was first reported around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning at the commercial plaza on E. Highway 20 that also houses Village Antiques and Country Barn Antiques. The Northshore Fire Chief tells Lake Co News the fire started in the back of the office and firefighters had it out in about half an hour. He says the flames were contained to the one room but smoke went throughout the rest of the building. The cause is under investigation.

The Lake County sheriff’s office has confirmed there was a drowning last Thursday at Clear Lake. A spokesman says the victim’s name was being withheld until all of his family is notified. The man apparently disappeared while he was swimming; his body was recovered by the North Shore Fire Protection District dive team about two hours later. This incident was just days after a speedboat broke apart on the Lake, leading to the drowning of a 74-year- old man.

Bernie Sanders wins big in Mendocino County. At last count before midnight last night, Sanders had captured almost 60% with Hillary Clinton getting about 38%. Clinton winning big across the state though. Final numbers probably won’t change a whole lot, but Clinton looks to have taken Calif., New Jersey, So Dakota and New Mexico clinching the party’s nomination. She was being called the presumptive nominee as of Monday night though. On The Republican side Donald Trump wins big in Mendocino County and in Calif. No other candidate who was running was even close. In Lake County, a virtual dead heat between Sanders and Clinton%. Trump wins with 80% of the vote.

State Atty Gen. Kamala Harris wins nearly 45% of the vote in the primary for the US Senate seat being left vacant by retiring Senator Barbara Boxer in Mendo. Loretta Sanchez with less than a third of what Harris got over in Lake County. Jared Huffman looking strong in his primary, winning nearly 61% of the vote. Jim Wood getting nearly 96% for State Assembly… Carre Brown with 77% for Mendocino County Supervisor District 1, John McGowen with nearly 97% for District 2 and Dan Gjerde with almost 97% in the 4th district.

Wasn’t looking good at last tally for Measure W for Charter Schools in Mendocino County and Measure U to ban Social Services in Fort Bragg was at 56% no. And Measure V declaring standing dead Oak trees a public nuisance at 57% last night.

Prop. 50 in Lake County, yes in a major landslide. 80% of voters said they wanted lawmakers who were suspended to lose their salaries, pensions and other compensation. The school bond measure in Kelseyville, to repair failing infrastructure looks to have passed with almost 60% of the vote.
