When Deputies arrived EMS had already taken the woman to Howard Memorial Hospital with they called a traumatic head injury. Deputies arrested Fidel Arreguin who they say walked right toward them with his hands in the air. His bail is set at $25,000.

The Clearlake Oaks boat launch is re-opening. The County says it’s been deemed safe for the public after the floodwaters receded and parks crews cleared away debris. Only two County boat launch facilities and parks remain closed: Lakeside County Park and Rodman Slough.

There’s a special fundraising concert this Friday night to benefit the Hope City organization, which has been rebuilding homes in the Valley fire area. Husband-and-wife Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire, known internationally as “Acoustic Eidolon” will perform Friday March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Twin Pine Event Center in Middletown. She plays cello and he plays several types of guitars including a double-necked acoustic guitar he designed called a guitjo. Their music is a blend of Celtic, Folk, World, and Latin influences. Tickets are $15 per person. All proceeds benefit Hope City whose volunteers hail from Indiana and have been here for several months rebuilding homes to help Valley fire survivors come back.
