A Point Arena man shot dead by his estranged wife’s new boyfriend had allegedly gone to their home armed, threatened the wife, and shot at the boyfriend. The Sheriff’s Office says the boyfriend called 911 Tuesday night to report that Raymond White had come to the home and allegedly physically assaulted the woman outside in the driveway and threatened to shoot her with a handgun he had brought with him. He then allegedly forced his way into the home. In the meantime the boyfriend, hearing the commotion, had armed himself with a handgun and as he and White met up, they fired multiple rounds at each other. White was hit and killed.

They call it “Track and Trace”. Mendocino County invites medical cannabis cultivators to some workshops next week on the county’s Plant-to-Sale Inventory Tracking Software System required by the Medical Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance. It will used by all those with county permits to operate a medical cannabis business which cultivates, manufactures, distributes, tests, delivers, transports, and/or dispenses medical cannabis in the unincorporated County. You can attend one of four workshops: Weds June 14 at Fort Bragg Town Hall from 10am-12pm and in Ukiah at the Boonville Veterans Building from 3pm-5pm. Thursday June 15 in Laytonville at Harwood Hall from 10am-12pm and at the Ukiah Veterans Building from 4pm-6pm.
