The developer of a proposed new neighborhood in the Guenoc Valley still hasn’t submitted an official application for it. Lake County News reports at last week’s Middletown Area Town Hall, Community Development Director Bob Massarelli gave an update on the proposal by Lotusland Investment Holdings of San Francisco for the “high-end, low-density development” with boutique-style hotels, sporting and cultural facilities and residential components, and, in keeping with county code, open space and recreational areas. Massarelli told the MATH group his department has been in talks with the developer about procedures and they expect some formal details to shape up within the next month or two. Massarelli said he’s hiring two people to manage the project and the county website will have a specific place for updates on it.

Kelseyville Presbyterian Church is inviting the community to celebrate the church’s 145th anniversary this weekend. Kelseyville Presbyterian Church was dedicated in June of 1872 and the congregation is inviting you to a “Sail-a-Bration” of those years on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18. Saturday’s festivities will go from 2pm-6pm with a free lunch catered by FFA, beginning at 2:30pm, live music provided by different musical groups and an old-time hymn sing in the Sanctuary with songs of the past. You can come visit and look at all the old photos, and visit the old church, which is still on the premises. Their Sunday morning service will be followed by a potluck lunch. All events are open to the public.
