A murder charge has been filed against a Navarro man for a shooting death Sunday night. Deputies went to a home on Sea Biscuit Drive Sunday where a 55-year-old man was found dead of a gunshot. Witnesses at the scene ID’d Michael Saner as the alleged shooter and the Sheriff’s Office put out a BOLO. After getting several tips, including one from the emergency medical personnel who’d responded to the victim, they tracked his car and found him at the Redwood Church on Comptche Ukiah Road. Mendocino Detectives say the victim and Saner knew each other and may have had a property dispute.

A drug bust in Clearlake has landed two people in jail. On Friday Lake County Narcotics detectives and Clearlake Police served a warrant at a home on Old Highway 53. They found meth, heroin, and pot, with evidence it was all for sale, as well as two loaded handguns and some body armor. A short time later they arrested Thomas Mark Nordahl and Candace Marie Conzet at a home on Fresno Street. Both are being held on $500,000 bail each. They each face multiple drug and weapons charges but Nordahl also ha s charges related to being convicted felon and possessing the guns, ammo and body armor.

Ukiah Police say it was a drunk driver who hit a bunch of parked cars Saturday night on West Mill Street. When police went to a call about crash at 1130pm they found three damaged parked cars and a pickup truck on its side in the road. The driver of the pickup, Cody Cuthbert of Willits, was found in a nearby home and did not appear to have been hurt in the accident. Officers suspected Cuthbert was intoxicated and began a DUI investigation, and then booked him into the jail a short time later. No one was hurt. The damage to the parked cars ranged from minor to major.

Clear Lake State Park is back open. The California Department Of Parks And Recreation say all areas have been reopened since the massive flooding earlier this year closed or damaged the main park roads, campgrounds, cabins, launch facilities, day use, and restroom facilities. Parks and Rec says not only have the floodwaters receded but the campground rehabilitation is also complete.
