A search warrant has been served at the home of an elderly Clearlake Oaks couple twice arrested in Nebraska on marijuana related charges. 80-year-old Patrick Jiron and his 70-year-old wife Barbara were arrested December 23rd in a rural area when a traffic stop led to the discovery of 60 pounds of processed marijuana they said was being delivered to the East Coast as family Christmas presents. On Monday, they were arrested in a traffic stop in Lincoln Nebraska with about $18,000 in cash, some raw marijuana and evidence indicating marijuana sales. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says they used that information to get a warrant for the Jiron’s home on Pueblo Trail where they say they found a 75-plant harvested grow site determined to actually be encroaching on BLM Federal Land. They also found about 152 pounds of loose processed pot and about 8 pounds of packaged processed pot. The Sheriff’s Office says the Jirons posted bail on January 9th in Nebraska and are believed to be traveling back to California.
