Five people including three children are dead after an SUV went off a cliff, landing on a rock along the Mendocino Coast. The CHP reports the bodies of the three children were found outside the GMC and two adults, from West Linn, OR were inside the vehicle. None of their ages or names have been released. The car apparently went off the road between Rockport and Westport on Highway 1. The SUV had pulled over, then for some reason went down a 100-foot cliff, south of San Juan Creek, about 20 miles north of Fort Bragg. It took emergency responders several hours to get to the wreckage, finding everyone deceased. They had to rappel down the cliff to get to the partially submerged SUV.
